T.I. Thinks Back On Working With Meek Mill For “Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head”

T.I. and Meek Mill have be associates for some years.

Meek Mill, though shortly lived, was signed to T.I.’s Grand Hustle movement during the time Tip was recording 2008’s Paper Trail. In an interview with Rap-Up.com, The Rubber band man, T.I. talked about the twos upcoming collaboration “G Season” for Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head, stating that he’s proud of the rapper for watching and taking notes of his grind and applying it to his own ethic.

“Meek Mill’s a homie of mine. I remember when his hair was long, down past his shoulders, and he was poppin’ wheelies on dirt bikes in Philly and freestyling on corners, getting his YouTube shine on. He’s come a long way,” he said.

“I remember when he was around me like every day for about two months while I was working on the Paper Trail album. I think he was in the studio when I did ‘Dead and Gone,’ I think he was there when I was performing for the MTV VMAs, when me and Rihanna premiered the video for ‘Live Your Life.’ He was around to observe a lot and he took it and he used it to his advantage, which is extremely commendable. There’s not many times youngsters get around cats who are already established and are able to observe the way the established artist moves, and actually take note of it, not disregarding the significance of this moment.”
